QUALITY CONTROL AND MONITORING

  The main points of quality control of project results are:
- The control of correspondence of ILAN concept to the problems of Russian higher technical school,
- The monitoring of training/teaching process,
- The control of dissemination phase. The control of ILAN course concept was carried out by study of SWOT analysis and developed materials on the concept and structure of ILAN course by Russian and European experts of the project. These materials were approved of during the Validation Conference in September 2008 in Moscow.
  The monitoring of the training process was conducted during the trainings of foreign language teachers in Tambov (RU4) and master students in Moscow (RU6) in December 2008 and in October 2009. Expert commission from Russian and European universities of the Consortium has evaluated the results of trainings, organized the feedback and its usage for ILAN course improvement.
  In January 2009 an additional meeting of the responsible project representatives including the project Grant holder, Coordinator, expert from the Ministry of Education and Science of the RF, the developers, the members of an administrative group was organized in Moscow (RU2). The meeting was connected with the monitoring visit of an expert from the European Committee. The working group of the Coordinator prepared a report on the project achievement, the development of the structure and contents of the ILAN course, multimedia version of the course. The responsible members stated the prospects of the teaching program accreditation for teaching the ILAN course in the system of additional education. Management of the project activities and its running results have received appreciation of the expert.
  At the final stage of the project statistics reports were given to the Project Management Board by the administrative group on the number of trained members of the target groups, ILAN teaching sets published and distributed to interested Russian universities. The quality of presentation materials, ILAN textbooks and multimedia elements was examined by special commission formed by Project Management Board.
External expert examination of developed ILAN materials and curricula was organized by Russian Monitoring Committee of IGIP and specialists of Ministry of Education and Science for accreditation of the curricula for usage in the system of additional education.
