SUSTAINABILITY

  The main activities on the achievement of the project's sustainability are connected with the introduction of ILAN course in RU-partner universities. During the period October-December 2009 members of foreign language developers group carried out short training sessions in their home Universities with groups of young foreign language teachers with usage of the developed multimedia and methodical materials of ILAN course. In the framework of one of these trainings (RU2) a workshop by the expert who is an English native speaker was organized for widened group of teachers.
  After the project members of FL teachers group will continue teaching ILAN course as an additional educational programme for different target groups through the network of the Centers of Engineering Pedagogy existing in RU Universities, including the Consortium Universities. This network is the basis for sustainable teaching of the developed ILAN course after the end of the project.
  Dissemination activities have contributed to the increase of interest of Russian technical universities to the usage of ILAN course. The guarantee of sustainable teaching of ILAN course is confirmed by a lot of requests from Russian universities on introduction of this course and receiving of teaching materials. The surveys of teachers, target group members and consultations with Russian experts have shown the prospects of creation of a similar course of the same structure for teaching other European languages and first of all German.
  For providing national support and the accreditation procedure of ILAN course joint activity with the expert of Ministry of Education and Science of the RF was implemented. The three curricula have passed the examinations of experts and are recommended as the additional foreign language training course for technical Universities.
