OUTCOME 3. DEVELOPED MULTIMEDIA ELEMENTS FOR ILAN COURSE

  At the first stage of the project the group of multimedia designers was formed from teaching staff of Russian Universities with professional IT-skills and experience in multimedia means application in teaching process.
  Design group members studied the experience of the previous Tempus projects on usage of computer teaching tools, selected available software and multimedia platforms that can be used most effectively for a foreign language course. Permanent consultations of the designers with Russian IT-experts - participants of former Tempus-projects concerning the development of multimedia elements for teaching (MULTICEP JEP 24006-2003 and TREM SCM T081A04-2004) were conducted. Special activities on improvement of skills of multimedia designers were organized. During the training carried out in Moscow, (RU2) in September 2008 in the framework of the 37th IGIP Symposium in the form of workshop on the basis of MULTICEP-multimedia learning classroom the designers' knowledge of usage of advanced multimedia facilities in technical teaching were extended. At the workshop conducted in October 2008 in Linköping University (SE3) multimedia elements for ILAN course suggested by the designers were coordinated with the members of the developers group.
  All the activities on the development of multimedia elements for ILAN course were coordinated with the activities on preparation and publishing of text teaching and methodical materials so the contents of multimedia version corresponds the textbooks of ILAN course. At the end of the project multimedia ILAN course was published on DVD in 300 copies as the element of ILAN teaching course.
